The Name It First Experience
Early recovery gives you a clear identity: you are someone in recovery. And then, somewhere in the first or second year, something shifts. The identity of being in recovery begins to feel incomplete. Your Sobriety Identity Agreement moves from who you were before, through who you are now, to the sober self you are choosing to build. The output is not a recovery milestone. It is a signed identity document.
