The Captain

You're in charge and the team isn't listening.

They made you captain. They didn't make them listen. That part is still yours to figure out.

This is for:

Children ages 7 to 12 who are in a leadership role — captain, group leader, class representative, project lead — and who are discovering that being in charge does not automatically mean people listen. Also for caregivers and educators building leadership capacity in children who have it and don't yet know how to use it.

You'll produce:your Your Story

The Name It First Experience

You're the captain. You have an idea. You give a direction. Nobody moves. In The Captain, you navigate what comes next — when authority doesn't automatically produce cooperation and you have to figure out what actually does. Do you push harder? Do you try something different? Do you ask what they need? Each choice leads somewhere different. This is a story for children who are learning that leadership is not about the title. It is about what happens in the moments when you have to actually lead. The output is your Captain Page — what you tried and what happened and what you learned about leading people who didn't automatically follow.

You can opt into 30-, 60-, and 90-day check-ins from your account. We recommend you do — the point is to see what changed.
