The Name It First Experience
Parenting an autistic child together is one of the highest-stress co-parenting experiences. Research consistently shows that autism diagnosis strains partnerships — not because the child is the problem, but because parents process differently, advocate differently, grieve differently, and often disagree on approach without ever naming the disagreement. This extension workbook is for two parents who want to understand each other's positions and build a shared approach. You will document each partner's experience of the diagnosis and the parenting. You will identify where you agree, where you don't, and what the disagreements are about. You will write the Care Partnership Agreement. The work is yours to do. This is where you write it down.
